Mojito Cocktail
We are approaching warmer months and it gets me super excited for longer days and patio drinking. I was buying mint for another recipe (here), and the minute I grabbed the bushel, I immediately decided I wanted to make Mojitos. So naturally, over to the liquor aisle I went. This recipe for Mojitos is pretty simple. I typically do not have simple syrup on hand, so I like to default to sugar cubes. However, if you wanted to double or quadruple the recipe and make a pitcher, simple syrup would be the way to go.
To make a Mojito, you will need…
5 mint leaves, plus more for garnish
1/2 lime, juiced
2 sugar cubes
2 ounces white rum
4 ounces club soda, or more as needed
Ice
Muddle mint leaves in a shaker. Add lime juice and sugar cubes and muddle again. Add rum and ice. Shake thoroughly. Strain over tall cocktail glass with ice. Top with club soda. Garnish with extra mint leaves and serve.
