Balsamic Tomato Bruschetta
Bruschetta is one of my favorite summer appetizers. In-season tomatoes are so crisp and flavorful. Mix them with fresh basil from the garden and its just the best. There are so many variations to this dish. This recipe just happens to be my easy go-to. When I am serving this at a gathering, I like to keep the bruschetta in a serving bowl and line the bowl with crostini or baguette slices as opposed to serving them already assembled to avoid any soggy bread. Add a little balsamic glaze on top and you’re all set to go.
Bruschetta Ingredients-
4-5 Roma tomatoes
3 cloves garlic, minced.
1 tablespoon Balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese (shredded or grated)
1/4 cup chopped Basil.
1 tablespoon diced red onion (optional)
Balsamic glaze to drizzle prior to serving.
For the crostini-
1 Baguette, sliced.
2 tablespoons extra virgin Olive Oil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Dice the tomatoes, mince the garlic, and chop the basil. Add ingredients to a mixing bowl. If you’re adding red onion, chop finely and add to the bowl. Next, add the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, and parmesan chees. Mix all ingredients together. You can pre assemble each bruschetta piece and serve that way, or place in a bowl and have your guests assemble as they much. Drizzle balsamic glaze to complete!
